Tomorrow we will celebrate the coming of Jesus to our world, more than 2,000 years ago. The most joyful news that has ever been announced to mankind!
That night some shepherds were in the fields outside the village, guarding their flocks of sheep. Suddenly an angel appeared among them, and the landscape shone bright with the glory of the Lord. They were badly frightened, but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you the most joyful news ever announced, and it is for everyone! The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born tonight in Bethlehem!” Luke 2:8-11 TLB
With His coming we will also be celebrating the gift he brought with Him: His kingdom. In Mark 1:15 Jesus proclaimed:
The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand.
But what exactly is the kingdom of God?
It is not a physical kingdom. Jesus said it was WITHIN us (Luke 17:21).
It is a state of being: Paul said it is righteousness (guilt free and accepted by God), peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. (Romans 14:17)
Dear friend, the kingdom of God is in your heart!
Maybe you are not fully grasping it yet, but it is there, waiting for you to rightfully claim your space and to step fully into it as the beautiful queen God has always intended you to be!
It is not difficult to do. All you have to do is accept it and believe in it.
Jesus said it was “at hand”. That word means it is approaching you. The king and His kingdom have come to approach you!
To make a proposal of an unconditional love that is so powerful it will forever restore you, renew you and heal you.
It is the greatest gift that has ever been given to you.
I wish you a wonderful time celebrating our King.
P.S. I am moving into a new home and won’t be writing my newsletters for a while.
I wish you a blessed 2016, full of success and exceedingly abundant surprises from God for you!
