Do you sometimes have a love-hate relationship with your business?
It’s easy when things go well. Your spirit soars and doing what you do makes so much sense.
But stuff happens! Even in the best of businesses.
What do you do when things don’t run as you expected they would?
Maybe the market did not respond well to your latest offer. Or that sale you needed to close so badly did not work out. Or maybe you are just plain tired and you don’t feel motivated to keep on moving forward with your endeavor.
The truth is, many things can and will turn out differently than expected in your business.
How can you prepare yourself for those challenging moments?
What can you do to keep calm and stand firmly in your God-given power to face the situation with grace and ease, without shrinking back in fear or denial?
The first thing you have to do is accept challenging situations as a normal component of your business. The peace God promises us is not the lying-on-the-beach-under-the-palm-trees kind of peace, but rather a fully-trusting-him-during-the-storm kind of peace.
Second, connect to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Although we call ourselves followers of Christ, very often we forget to apply “the too good to be true” news of the Gospel to our daily lives, because the world around us is constantly trying to rob its powerful message from us with its deceiving lies. Remind yourself constantly of who you are in Him:
You are a victorious overcomer, passionately loved by a God who bankrupted heaven to give you abundant life. He called you, equipped you and graced you with whatever you need to be more than a conqueror in all areas of your life, including your business.
Jude 1:21 says: “…keep yourselves in the love of God…”
Dear business woman, you are unconditionally loved, protected and empowered by Almighty God Himself. Keep yourself in that love. Don’t let any adversity convince you otherwise!
P.S. Do you need help? Most challenges can be overcome when looking at them objectively with somebody who has business experience and can help you pinpoint the problem areas.
